 How does Skype Lite referral program work? 

To refer a friend, simple tap on the menu icon on Skype Lite, click “Invite friends” and share the link via email or available apps. Once your friend joins Skype Lite via the referral link and sets Skype Lite as the default SMS app, you and your friend will receive notifications to confirm both of you have successfully earned 20 minutes FREE Skype international calling to phone numbers in certain countries/regions. You can invite up to 5 people and thus earn up to 100 minutes free Skype international calling . You will be able to see the free minutes show up under “My subscriptions” on your Skype Lite profile web page. It might take several minutes for your new subscription information to be updated.

This referral program is only available in India to Skype Lite Android users from now till April 30th, 2017, or until we reach the offer cap. The free Skype calling minutes can’t be transferred, renewed and will expire 30 days after activation. See full program terms at

What can I use the free Skype calling minutes for? 

Free Skype calling minutes can be used for calls to landlines and mobiles in 70 countries/regions. It doesn’t apply to calls to landlines and mobiles in India and to special, premium and non-geographic numbers.
